Einfach ausgedr\u00fcckt: Die Blutversorgung des Knochens in diesem Bereich wird unterbrochen, wodurch ein Teil des Knochens \u201eabstirbt\u201c und sich zunehmend verformt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sie wurde erstmals 1914 von Dr. Albert Freiberg beschrieben. Sie betrifft vor allem den <strong>zweiten Mittelfu\u00dfknochen<\/strong> (in 68 % der F\u00e4lle), kann jedoch auch am dritten (27 %) und sogar am vierten Mittelfu\u00dfknochen auftreten. Viele F\u00e4lle werden jedoch erst im Erwachsenenalter diagnostiziert, wenn die Gelenkdeformit\u00e4t bereits fortgeschritten ist und chronische Schmerzen auftreten.
